Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have technical ownership for developing power and possibly controls products for Bridgelux. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in the power electronics field and drive the development of innovative solutions for the LED industry. The candidate will be instrumental in providing technical expertise and guidance. He/she will work with marketing to define roadmaps, develop design and manufacturing partnerships, manage these relationships, and successfully launch new products to the market.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the technical owner of the Bridgelux driver roadmap
- Work with Product Marketing to define/refine the driver roadmap
- Develop and manage global partnerships with design and manufacturing resources
- Lead the performance and reliability qualification of new driver products
- Communicate with external industry experts and vendors to identify technical trends and leverage external expertise
- Drive deliverables and deadlines with predictable timelines
- Document inventions to create intellectual property
Job Requirements:
- BS with 8+ years of industry experience or advanced degrees with 5+ years of experience in power management electronics
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
- Experience in LED driver design and characterization is strongly preferred
- Experience with controls systems, wireless communication and/or IoT systems is preferred
- Must demonstrate subject matter excellence and a history of working with external suppliers
- Must have a high level of dedication and commitment to produce results
- Must have strong team work and communication skills. Mandarin fluency is a plus
