George de Urioste

George de Urioste has more than 30 years of professional experience. He has served on the Boards of public and private companies in a career defined by a range of executive management positions in the technology industry. Since he has served at various times as a CFO, COO and CEO, de Urioste has a keen understanding of the relationship between finance, operations, product development, sales and leadership/vision needed in today’s dynamic business arena. Mr. de Urioste brings significant expertise in international business, M&A, corporate compliance (Sarbanes Oxley), strategic alliances, acquisitions, IPOs, and board of director responsibilities for public and private corporations.

He has public company Board of Directors experience, having previously served as Audit Committee Chairman of Saba Software (SABA) for 3 years. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Vendavo, Inc., and serves as Audit Committee Chairman. Previously, Mr. de Urioste was interim Chief Operating Officer and interim CFO for Marvell Technology (MRVL), a $3 Billion semiconductor provider of products for data storage, mobile and video communications. During his CFO tenure, the market capitalization grew from $6 billion to $10 billion. Prior to Marvell, he was the Chief Operating Officer and CFO of Chordiant Software (CHRD), a provider of enterprise software for customer service and marketing processes. Previous to this, he was CEO and Board chairman for Aeroprise, Inc., a private software company with award winning solutions for mobile IT service management that he co-founded. Aeroprise was acquired by BMC Software, Inc.

Prior to Aeroprise, Mr. de Urioste was CFO and Vice President of Finance and Operations for Remedy Corporation. In his 6 year tenure at this high-growth enterprise software company, he was a member of the executive team that grew revenues from $2 million to a $200 million run rate and a ~$2 billion market capitalization. Remedy has customers in 70 countries and 15 million users. Mr. de Urioste led Remedy through its IPO; a year later the company was named the #1 Hot Growth Company in America by Business Week.

Mr. de Urioste began his career in 1980 as a CPA for Deloitte & Touche. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. de Urioste has attended the Stanford Law School Directors College, an ISS-accredited Boardroom Education Program and numerous Board and Audit Committee conferences.
