JOB SUMMARY
The individual must be experienced, self-motivated, and “hands-on”. 360 degree Project Management role responsible for taking new LED products from concept through launch. This position will report to the Director of Project Management in the US and will be located in Xiamen, China.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extremely cross functional role working with a global team to enable the creation, development and implementation of world class LED products.
- Play a central role in managing projects within the Asia region.
- Act as an effective bridge between the product development organizations in the US, Asia and the CM’s and suppliers in Asia
- Travel as necessary to support CM and customer activities
- Develop detailed plans and track action items to enable smooth functioning of the global team
- Lead and/or facilitate all meetings as necessary to enable the seamless execution of projects
- Create detailed reports to communicate across the global organization
- Effectively manage risks as it relates to projects and products
- Assist in the change management and release of products.
- Support all key build and test activities related to pilot line and manufacturing
- Support Supply chain and operations with both short term activities
- Manage local (indirect and direct) resources to ensure projects and initiatives are completed on time and within budget
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years in project management around new product introductions
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Business
- Experience with Contract Manufactures (CM’s) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODM’s)
- Understanding of LED products (2-4 years) preferred.
- Experience managing relationships with suppliers and customers in Asia
- Independent with experience working in a global team under minimal supervision
- Bi-lingual fluency (Mandarin/English)
- Ability to travel 15-20% (mostly within Asia and occasional trips to the US)
- Self-managed and motivated to complete tasks per schedule
