Program and Business Development Director

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Asia Business, this position will be responsible for strategy, goals and tactics establishing and business development of new territories, channels,  partnership, applications and markets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish regional business development strategy, goals and tactics
  • Investigation and business development of new territories, channels, applications and markets
  • Build and nurture customer relations in order to create upsell opportunities
  • Identify and exploit business opportunities through customer joint product development programs and strategic partnership.
  • Partner with sales, marketing and FAE organizations to execute Asia go to market strategies and mine customer relationships for further strategic alignment
  • Identify and develop potential partnership.   Development and Program management on partner activities and funnel
  • Provide knowledge, expertise  and new product input to ongoing market analysis, business strategies to internal and external stakeholders

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, EE or lighting related discipline.  Business education is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in business development,  sales & marketing  of technology, electronics and/or lighting products.  Technical background is a plus.
  • Ability to sell technical product ideas, features, functions to decision makers, influencers into of targeted OEMs,  specifiers or end users
  • Strong  ability to liaise with OEM, ODM and Ecosystem Partners.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to interact across functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of prioritizing and delivering results within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and influential skills to motivate cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong decision making and project management skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and Putonghua,  additional  languages are a plus
  • Willing to travel, can be 50%+, to support customer and/or partner activities
