Sr. Buyer

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Global Sourcing, this position will be responsible for supporting Bridgelux globally on expensed goods and services required by the various engineering and business teams. This position is located in Penang, Malaysia.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage to the capital expense budget in conjunction with your manager.
  • Commercial Negotiation with CMs ie price, terms, delivery and reduction road map.
  • To provide sourcing direction for Mass production product to support revenue forecast.
  • To ensure contractual obligations with key providers are monitored, and that NDA’s are in place prior to any engineering or business data is exchanges with 3rd parties. Metric: NDAs Generated/Engagement Delays due to missing documents.
  • To manage specific projects and programs assigned by your management team. Metrics: Time Line/Objectives.
  • To provide Oracle support as the Oracle Procurement Superuser. This would involve training new employees and troubleshooting Oracle issues for Logistics and other related parties. Metrics: Training Schedule/Trouble Shelf Log.
  • To provide Accounts Payable (AP), support and to work actively with the Logistics function to insure items and invoices match where AP has issues. Metrics: AP Trouble Shelf Log.
  • To lead QBR scoring with strategy CMs and work with various function team ie Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain for quarterly benchmarking and scoring.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement
  • Oracle experience
  • Able to work well with individuals at all levels of the company
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
