LED Light waltzes off calculators and, soon, into homes like yours
Clean-tech venture capitalists have taken a shine to Silicon Valley
makers of LEDs and other bright lights, seeing a growing potential
for these semiconductor-based light sources in streetlights and
parking lots, in concert venues and gymnasiums.

Bridgelux adds marketing and sales execs in US and Europe
Bridgelux Inc of Sunnyvale, CA, USA, which designs and
makes ITO/InGaN-based LED chips for solid-state lighting (using
high-volume production capacity in Asia), has appointed Keith Scott
as VP of business development and David Barnby (based in Paris,
France) as VP of sales and general manager for Europe, the Middle
East and Africa (EMEA).

LED lighting company raises $30 million from VCs
