Senior Device Engineer or Senior Chip Design Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the design and development of GaN-based LED chips for display and illumination applications. The individual must be experienced, self-motivated, and “hands-on” to own and lead chip development projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Independently design and develop LED chip structures and methods to fabricate and characterize devices
• Theoretically model LED electrical and optical behavior to drive performance improvement
• Write clear reports and make crisp presentations of results and conclusions
• Communicate and work collaboratively within the chip group and across the company

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• PhD or equivalent in EE or Physics with relevant experience in compound semiconductor device modeling, design, processing and characterization.
• At least 3 years experience in chip R&D, preferably with experience in leading chip design projects
• Ability to run computer simulations, design and layout masks, and ability to do hands-on wafer processing and extensive device characterization.
• High level of dedication and commitment to produce good results.
• Good team work and communication skills.
