Sales Development Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
This position is the primary interface between headquarters, field sales and customers. Sales Development is responsible for driving the overall Sales process and working with regional sales to assist in defining and developing account strategies. This position shall act as a liaison between Sales and Headquarters interfacing with Marketing, Manufacturing, Product Development, Finance and Executive Management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive the sales process qualifying and driving new market and sales opportunities.
• Develop and maintain high level relationships with customers and channel.
• Gather and make visible market and competitor data.
• Joint ownership and coordination with Marketing for region trade shows.
• Respond to all customer/channel partner inbound technical inquiries.
• Collect, analyze, summarize and justify region specific customer special product/pricing requirements.
• Develop and sell required formal price quotations following pricing guidelines.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure seamless acceptance of customer orders.
• Work closely with Region VP’s to drive monthly forecast & funnel review process.
• Lead generation follow-up.
• Tracking and report all sales prospects.
• Provide regional marketing/sales collateral to Sales team.
• Participate in Region Sales Reviews.
• Conduct Channel Partner new product training.
• Assist in driving closure to product quality issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• BSEE or equivalent Engineer degree.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• German speaking a plus.
• Some related travel.
• Oracle and CRM experience a plus.
• No relocation assistance available.
