JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, this position will define and implement product specifications for Bridgelux products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support introduction of new products to manufacturing
• Define product and test specifications of array products
• Responsible for analyzing and monitoring product performance data
• Track yields, drive to root cause finding of low yield and oversee yield improvement program
• Identify and implement cost reductions through product and process optimization
• Control changes to products through documented processes
• Define and maintain ongoing quality control plan for each product
• Manage reliability monitoring program for all products
• Lead to define and close up containment and corrective actions of manufacturing quality issues
• Provide engineering support for customer complaint investigations and identify opportunities for product quality improvements
• Audit contract manufacturers and other manufacturing partners’ quality systems

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics or a similar technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of optoelectronic industry experience in product engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with product yield, cost reduction and new product introduction is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of LED device physics, fabrication, testing and packaging.
• Positive inter-personal skills necessary to support cross-functional teams.
• Excellent project management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
• Working knowledge in quality system, 8D methodology, JMP, Access database and SPC is desirable.
