JOB SUMMARY
This position will lead LED driver and lighting control technology development for LED lighting products and system level integration. The candidate should have broad knowledge in power IC and control chipset with design experience from concept to production. Component selection, simulation, test, prototyping, safety approvals and product integration are in the main scope of work. The individual needs to be self-motivated, results driven, good at team work and communication, being able to own projects and lead all the way to successful delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical lead in developing LED driver, power supply, lighting control for LED lighting products and system level integration.
• Directly work with driver IC companies / component suppliers to explore power IC technology and map out implementation strategy with the next generation product roadmap.
• Define specs of power control IC’s used in LED lighting products.
• Design smart technology to implementation – component selection, simulation, test, prototyping, safety approvals and product integration.
• Lead compliance effort for safety approvals with entities within US and worldwide.
• Communicate and work collaboratively within the group and across the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• MS with 5+ years industry experience in power electronics or similar technical field.
• Strong technical background in power electronic component simulation, design, prototyping and testing.
• Familiar with IC simulation tools with in-depth circuit analysis knowledge.
• Experience with various control protocols including wireless and wire line. Direct experience with lighting control is a great plus.
• Hands-on in troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, power meters, power supplies and multimeters.
• Proficient with data analysis and organizing/summarizing results.
• High level of dedication and commitment to results.
