Phosphor Process Engineer – Array Manufacturing

JOB SUMMARY
Engineer shall be responsible for developing, delivering and improving silicone/phosphor processes in support of LED Array manufacturing processes in the US and at off-shore sites.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluation, implementation and improvement of new processes, process changes, equipment, and consumables in support of product operations.
• Design, execution and reporting of experiments to improve product quality, process capability, yield, efficiency and throughput.
• Implementation and maintenance of SPC process monitoring and reporting systems.
• Reaction and corrective action to process excursions.
• Statistical analysis and reporting of process and experiment data.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years experience in LED, semi-conductor or related industry, high-volume manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum BS in a related engineering discipline.
• Willingness & ability to travel internationally for extended time periods.
• Working knowledge of SPC and 6-Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to understand and predict process capability utilizing statistical analysis software such as JMP or Minitab.
• Skills in communication and in all MS Office programs.
