JOB SUMMARY
Member of Equipment Engineering team reporting to Equipment Engineering Manager that will maintain and repair systems in Array and Matrix Pilot-line in Livermore.
Also support and maintaining tools that are in production at the Livermore PD lab for the product operations team. Our tools will require daily maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs as we see fit and recommended by the system manufacturers. Technicians will assess the tool down reasons prior to engaging the equipment manufacturer for a tool repair that will reduce cost and to bring the system back online for production ASAP, increasing uptime, and tool availability and on time product shipment to our customers. Equipment engineering team will require technician support to install tools at the Pilot-line when facility construction is completed and tools are being received for production. This position will require some travel when bringing up a system at our CMs that had our technician’s previous involvement & prior knowledge on a particular system. Also as we start receiving tools from vendors for the pilot-line, uncrating, moving the systems to production area for installation is required and will be performed by our technicians.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installation of tools as received into the pilot-line.
• Calibration of tools when necessary.
• Training equipment users and operators and making them aware of all technical details.
• Performing safety audits and being aware of all possible safety hazards.
• Maintaining tools as required and performing Preventive Maintenance on the tools.
• Tool assembly to support all functions when necessary.
• Troubleshooting and repairing tools.
• Assisting Vendors on equipment down and while being repaired by the tool manufacturer.
• Learning details from tool manufactures while repairing systems onsite.
• Learning tool details for repair and minimizing the cost of having the tool manufacturer repair on a down systems.
• Uncrating tools and installing when necessary.
• Creating and maintaining equipment logs.
• New equipment installation and calibration.
• Getting tools ready for shipment to our other sites, or sent out for repairs.
• Interfacing with suppliers, production staff, engineering staff and quality staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• A.S. degree in related technology and 5+ years experience in semiconductor, equipment manufacturer, or any related High Tech industry.
• Hands on experience is a must & required.
• Good understanding of electrical and optical devices and experience with mechanical, Automation or semiconductor equipment.
• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Must be a fast learner and adaptable to high paced start-up environment.
• Computer literacy and experience with MS Word and Excel is required.
• Some programming experience and working with PLC is a must.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated.
• Automation experience is required.
• Attention to details and quality focused.
• Excellent communication skill with vendor as well as with internal teams.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to travel internationally when needed.
