Chief Executive Officer, Bridgelux
Brad Bullington joined Bridgelux in 2010 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in February, 2013. He was elected as a Director of the Company in June, 2013. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bullington directly oversees all functions of the company, including direct involvement in the sales and channel development and broader go-to-market activities of the company.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bullington was the company’s Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development and General Manager of the company’s Technology Solutions business where he was responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and all corporate and market development activities, including strategic partnerships and joint venture development, technology licensing, and capital formation.
Before joining Bridgelux, Mr. Bullington held executive execution-focused Strategy & Corporate Development roles at Seagate Technology (NASDAQ: STX) and at Maxtor Corporation. Prior to his roles in the data storage industry, he was a management consultant for A.T. Kearney, where he served a range of clients focused on issues of strategy and operations. He began his professional services career at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Bullington serves as a Member of the Board of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG), and is an active advisor to numerous early-stage technology companies.
Mr. Bullington received his B.A. in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Washington.

Pete Moran has led DCM in investing into several new sectors since joining in the late 90’s including a diverse array of Enabling Technology companies. From novel energy storage solutions, to LEDs, to next gen semiconductors, this portfolio focuses on improving energy efficiency and altering consumer experience. As well, Pete was an early investor into the online interactive gaming sector and continues to be active in evolving digital entertainment/education. Pete has spent almost three decades working in several facets of the Electronics and Entertainment Industries, from front line roles focused on IC fabrication at KLA Instruments and Hewlett-Packard/Agilent, through Management Consulting with McKinsey & Co., to managing a business unit at Arrow Electronics.
Pete serves on several boards including Analogix, Bridgelux, Enovix, FreedomPop, LearnZillion, Slice.com, Trion Worlds and he has led DCM’s investments into PlayFirst, SMIC and SigmaTel.
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner, VantagePoint Capital Partners
Alan Salzman is a recognized pioneer in funding energy innovation companies and has been the senior or managing partner of a dozen technology funds since 1988, with management responsibilities for over $5 billion of committed capital and hands-on experience working with and funding more than 300 entrepreneurial companies. He co-founded VantagePoint Capital Partners in 1996 and oversees all aspects of global fund management, including development and implementation of overall investment strategy, as well as oversight of investment, divestment and management decisions regarding portfolio companies. For more than a decade he served as Adjunct Professor for Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Companies at Stanford University, serves on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and is active in numerous global clean-technology organizations. Mr. Salzman is a graduate of the London School of Economics, the University of Toronto, Stanford Law School and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Mr. Chan is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Outerwall, the public company that is behind the well-known Redbox movie and video game rental kiosks and popular Coinstar coin-counting kiosks, it is pushing the walls of retail way out, into a new dimension – building businesses that make life simpler and better for consumers and retailers; Lead Independent Director of Synaptics, a public company that is a leading worldwide developer and supplier of custom-designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide variety of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices; and a member of the Board of Directors of Affymetrix, a public company that is a leader in the rapidly growing genetic analysis market with the mission to revolutionize how the world benefits from genetic information. Mr. Chan is or has chaired all major board committees at public and private companies. Mr. Chan is also Chairman of the Board or a Director of several select privately held companies.
Mr. Chan served as Chief Executive Officer of Magellan, a leader in consumer, survey, GIS and OEM GPS navigation and positioning markets, from 2006 to 2008. From 1992 through 2006, Mr. Chan served in various senior management positions with SanDisk Corporation, the worlds’ largest supplier of flash branded data storage products, including Vice President of Global Marketing, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing and most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business. From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Chan held marketing and engineering positions at Chips and Technologies, Signetics, and Delco Electronics.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
George de Urioste has more than 30 years of professional experience. He has served on the Boards of public and private companies in a career defined by a range of executive management positions in the technology industry. Since he has served at various times as a CFO, COO and CEO, de Urioste has a keen understanding of the relationship between finance, operations, product development, sales and leadership/vision needed in today’s dynamic business arena. Mr. de Urioste brings significant expertise in international business, M&A, corporate compliance (Sarbanes Oxley), strategic alliances, acquisitions, IPOs, and board of director responsibilities for public and private corporations.
He has public company Board of Directors experience, having previously served as Audit Committee Chairman of Saba Software (SABA) for 3 years. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Vendavo, Inc., and serves as Audit Committee Chairman. Previously, Mr. de Urioste was interim Chief Operating Officer and interim CFO for Marvell Technology (MRVL), a $3 Billion semiconductor provider of products for data storage, mobile and video communications. During his CFO tenure, the market capitalization grew from $6 billion to $10 billion. Prior to Marvell, he was the Chief Operating Officer and CFO of Chordiant Software (CHRD), a provider of enterprise software for customer service and marketing processes. Previous to this, he was CEO and Board chairman for Aeroprise, Inc., a private software company with award winning solutions for mobile IT service management that he co-founded. Aeroprise was acquired by BMC Software, Inc.
Prior to Aeroprise, Mr. de Urioste was CFO and Vice President of Finance and Operations for Remedy Corporation. In his 6 year tenure at this high-growth enterprise software company, he was a member of the executive team that grew revenues from $2 million to a $200 million run rate and a ~$2 billion market capitalization. Remedy has customers in 70 countries and 15 million users. Mr. de Urioste led Remedy through its IPO; a year later the company was named the #1 Hot Growth Company in America by Business Week.
Mr. de Urioste began his career in 1980 as a CPA for Deloitte & Touche. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. de Urioste has attended the Stanford Law School Directors College, an ISS-accredited Boardroom Education Program and numerous Board and Audit Committee conferences.
